A big thank you for the very friendly, professional welcome, a complete breakfast that satisfies everyone’s taste, and the place was very quiet despite being close to Plaza Bolivar. Everything was perfect.

It looks exactly like the photos, a very nice concept that’s well managed, cozy, quiet, and the hosts are very friendly. I never figured out how to regulate the water, haha.

“El mejor hostal de Bogotá, tranquilo, limpio para un buen descanso.”

Mauricio and his sister provided magnificent service and were very helpful. The location is unbeatable, close to shopping centers, Bancolombia for currency exchange, the Transmilenio station, many inexpensive yet delicious restaurants, and the room was comfortable and clean. Across from the hostel there are several restaurants; the best is called “El restaurante” with excellent seasoning, and at night you can grab a hot dog on the corner. There’s also a small shop called “mercado” with pharmacies on the corner, and if you walk toward Carrera 28 you’ll find the entrance to Parque Bavaria and exit onto the main avenue 7th. There you’ll find more plazas, a D1, and Super Ara for basic goods at good prices; further ahead is Plaza San Martín where you can tourist or eat a good Frisby chicken, and on that avenue is the Colombian Museum. The area is really nice and very close to the center. Nothing negative, everything was super‑good! I can’t wait to return to Bogotá and stay here again.

“Quaint, retro-style boutique house, not really a hostel, with a lovely owner”

The place feels more like a tiny boutique hotel than a hostel – retro décor, spotless kitchen and solid Wi‑Fi, plus it was practically empty so I had the whole space to myself. Dorms and private rooms are both available, and the owner’s taste shows in every corner. The only hassle was the check‑in: the owner lives next door, so you’re supposed to ring her and speak Spanish, which I didn’t know, and I ended up pounding on the door for ten minutes until another guest finally got her attention.
