“Cizí muž na ubytování”

The accommodation itself was fine. The hostel seemed a bit pricey, but considering the location that might be expected. Beds, Wi‑Fi, blanket, towel—all were available. In the morning I was woken by monkeys. I was alone in the room, and the front desk told me that, so I agreed to lock the room because none of the entrance doors locked and were open. The AC switch was on the hallway and someone turned it off at night, so it was hot in the room and because someone was walking around I didn’t dare leave. I only managed to get out in the morning and found a guy sleeping on the couch in the common room. I asked him what he was doing there, but he didn’t speak much English. He only said that the hostel wasn’t paid for and that he was leaving soon. I didn’t feel good about him and that experience ruined the overall impression of the hostel for me.

“Neve consider this property again”

The hotel rate was good and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room was extremely cramped and the furniture and fittings looked very old and poorly maintained. The curtains were hanging halfway off the railings, showing a lack of upkeep. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and the layout made it hard to sit comfortably on the toilet bowl because it was cramped against the sink. The bedsheets provided were stained. When I asked for a replacement, the new sheet given was also stained, which was unacceptable. There was no phone in the room to contact reception, so I had to climb up and down several times to make requests in person, causing significant inconvenience.

“DON'T CHOOSE THIS HOTEL”

At least the bed feels comfortable. For the first time I got a hotel room with one lost window. It’s the family room on the upper floor. They just sealed it with slightly thick wallpaper, but the soundproofing is horrendous. You can see the white paper from outside, and even the wall had poor soundproofing already. I can hear people outside doing their things. The drawers were dirty and had old, tough stains on the pillowcase. All the furniture is older than my grandma, and there are garbage from decades ago in those drawers. The heater in the bathroom sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t, and I had to switch it on and off several times. That’s the worst RM311 I’ve spent this year, for 2 nights, and they said no other room was available to change. If your room is this terrible, better don’t rent it!
