Wonderful location overlooking a very pretty iconic section of the Douro close to Pinhao. Everything was lovely and we had a wonderful stay but there was a slightly odd vibe – the interior décor is out of keeping (dated) with the exterior (beautiful and classic modern). The service at dinner was slow – 2 hours for serving a set menu.

Beautiful pool with a view of the Douro. Delicious and refined food. Wine from the quinta, very reasonably priced.

The drive to the hotel is a hassle; you constantly hit another car and must wait for them to reverse and clear the road, making it very uncomfortable.
