A historic building lovingly restored, modern systems, very well kept, and a lovely breakfast buffet.

Located in Sopron's historic Old Town, Hotel Wollner is a 300-year-old Baroque-style building offering free WiFi. Each room features period furniture, rich fabrics, and an en-suite bathroom. The hotel's elegant baroque-style restaurant serves breakfast, while the wine cellar and bar offer drinks. A medieval city wall and Roman fortress remains are accessible via a hotel exit.

The hotel sits in the old town; when you come back it feels like Baroque style, the houses are very pretty and worth visiting Sopron. Everything was very pleasant for me.

Like almost all comments, sensational. Super location in the Altstadt, very quiet. The operator couple is indescribably warm and friendly. Very good breakfast, which you can enjoy in the romantic courtyard on nice weather. The only complaint was that in our room we had to step into the bathtub to shower, which could be difficult for people with limited mobility.

I stayed in a stunning old building right in the pedestrian heart of this charming walled town, with a grand staircase and a roomy room that looked out onto the street and had a private bathroom. The owners and staff were very helpful, and we had a sleighbed in our room; a fan was supplied because it was high summer. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. The only thing to keep in mind is that car access is via a speaker‑activated barrier—you press the button for the hotel and they let you in to drop off and unpack. Parking is available in both covered and uncovered lots nearby, and the rates for overnight stays are reasonable.

The hotel sits in the city centre, which is a fantastic location, and it’s owned by an elderly married couple who shared the history of the place with us, which we really appreciated.
