Crown Inn Motel Yorktown

The only thing that was great was how close it was to all the festivities in Yorktown; I asked for this room because it was a small apartment and my youngest son was traveling with us. However, the back room had no air conditioning, though a little of the front room’s AC leaked in; the kitchenette was adequate. The curtains and bedspread looked very old, the drawer in the dresser wouldn’t stay closed, which was odd, and my son saw what he thought were hookers hanging out near the motel entrance late at night, which was scary.

Cozy, no frills, all we really needed, but the toilet needs to be reseated.

“Fair price, convenient quiet location, comfortable bed and A/C with easy access to major roads.”

The location was very convenient to Joint Base Fort Eustis and Langley and the secondary north‑south State Route 17, and nearby restaurants were easy to reach. The bed was large and comfortable with a nice comforter, the shower was hot and powerful, the A/C worked fine, and the motel strictly enforced its no‑smoking and no‑pets rules; there might have been a couple of smoking rooms, but I can’t remember and as a non‑smoker the rules were fine. My room stayed very quiet in the evening and the price was excellent. The Crown Inn Motel Yorktown is not a Ritz‑Carlton, Hilton or new Marriott, yet it offers similar accommodations at a lower price. The motel is a bit old but freshly painted and clean. For the price and my needs for a one‑night stay, it was the best choice, and I had checked several online reviews before booking.

“Great stay”

I like the hotel, but my only complaint was that there were no outlets near the bed. The bed was comfy and the bathrooms were clean. No outlets near the bed!
