The place had a charming vibe, though a water‑pump beeping was annoying; they promised a fix but it got delayed because of the Easter weekend.

The old house was beautifully renovated with stylish, antique furniture, and my room with an en suite bathroom was small but very nice and perfectly adequate for one night. The hostess was very kind, cooked a wonderful dinner, and shared a lot about Māori history and culture. Breakfast was pre‑prepared for the next day and we finished it ourselves. Thank you so much!!!

The location overlooking the hills and river was great; the house had so much character and the rooms were lovely. Everything was very clean. Sitting out on the verandah to eat or just relax was lovely. The meals were wonderful, and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing to add.
