“Beautiful and cozy stay at Taj Taal Kutir”

We celebrated a 70th birthday with a staycation at Taj Taal Kutir, and the experience was amazing. The property sits in a quiet corner of Ecopark, and its vintage look makes it a cozy home. We booked a room with a pool‑facing balcony, and the view with the sound of flowing water was so soothing and relaxing. The rooms are cozy and comfortable, offering everything you’d expect from a Taj hotel: a fully equipped coffee station, toiletries, a large bed, TV, and a vanity station. The jhalmuri served in the room was a nice touch. What made the stay truly special were the staff and their attentive hospitality. I called the hotel early that morning to mention the occasion, and they beautifully decorated the room with balloons. The check‑in was smooth, thanks to Priyansgshu and his colleagues, who were cordial and arranged the birthday cake and decorations, and even gave us a tour of the hotel. The Verandaah restaurant was nice; we enjoyed a luxurious lobster thermidor and mutton for lunch. Dinner was a bit disappointing, as the food tasted average and the service was slow. We shared our feedback with restaurant manager Mitish, who received it enthusiastically and, the next day, made sure breakfast was served warm, fresh, and delicious. He even introduced us to the chef so we could share our thoughts. His positive response and attentiveness at the breakfast table turned our experience into an amazing one, allowing us to overlook the slight disappointment. They also gave us a portion of mishti doi as a nice gesture, and the reception team invited us to perform a diya lighting ritual with us, lighting the evening diya for the hotel. The food menu was limited, with few choices, and dinner was a bit average.
