“Read carefully before you go there”
It can work if you know where you’re going; the mountain track was so difficult that our driver almost refused to take us, making the trip much longer and uncomfortable. The driver should know the route, as it’s not on Google Maps. The room was big, clean, and the shower and toilet were next to it but semi‑open; the air‑con was good. We were isolated and had to rely on the village truck, which was pricey and uncomfortable in the back tray, even though the booking page claimed airport transfer. The description on Booking didn’t match the place at all: the advertised Adi Guest House was missing, and instead there was a basic Adi Villa. The owner said the advertised place was under repair, but that wasn’t true. You could see your partner on the toilet through the glass door. The room wasn’t ready despite our reservation, and we had to wait for the owner to turn on the shower pump. Breakfast didn’t match the photo; the ad promised free Wi‑Fi but only one day for one person if you asked. There was no beer or water in the fridge on arrival, so we had to request it. Several advertised features were absent: fridge, soap, sauna, hydromassage bath, mountain and ocean views. You can’t walk on the beach; it’s only good for surfing. Belongas Bay for diving is further and requires a skilled motorbike rider who can handle steep, dangerous tracks. Bring cash: you can only pay for the room in cash. It’s off the tourist area with no shops, restaurants, ATMs, or taxis nearby.
