I was pleasantly surprised by the Centre Loewenberg: from the helpful staff even with a late check‑in, the option to dine in the restaurant that evening, the lockable bike room, the peaceful location despite being right next to the train stop, and a good breakfast. The single room is small, but that’s how it’s described, and for one night it’s fine. Nothing was missing.

The price‑to‑quality ratio was excellent for a motocross event in the area, but the dinner fell short.

The location was perfect for our needs; Murten is only a few minutes by car and easy to spot from the highway, with plenty of parking, generous green space, a quiet environment, and an SBB station nearby. The bathroom in room 101 only has a curtain to separate it, and the shower and toilet aren’t well separated; after showering the toilet area becomes completely wet.

It was a bit unusual but totally fine, and the concept works well. The bathroom separated by a hand organ is a drawback; a door would be preferable.
