The cabin is tucked in the woods, giving a nice quiet and a bit of a different vibe, and the vintage dishware and décor add a charming touch. But the house feels cold and damp, especially the basement bed, and the silk sheets were only average, making the night even chillier. The shower ran out of hot water after a few minutes, and the coffee machine was fine but the tiny porcelain cups didn't fit the double capsules, so the morning brew was a hassle; bigger cups would have helped.

The owners were super friendly and ran the place like real entrepreneurs, even handing me two cold beers. The only downside was getting there on a bike – the road is steep and there's no signage, so it was a bit of a trek. Also, the light switches were confusing.
