The private terrace is beautiful and relaxing, and the two hammocks are perfect, especially in the evenings for a bit of fresh air. The rooms are extremely clean, and the two hosts are very cordial and always available. Unfortunately, some buildings in front block the sea view. The rooms are a bit warm, but there is a double fan to compensate.

A very lovingly designed small property. Each of the four rooms has its own terrace with chairs and hammocks above. The communal kitchen is super tidy. The room itself was nice but very small and dark… but you’re mainly there to sleep. The toilet situation was a bit odd—there’s no door. You have to know each other well to make that work. Two rooms are extremely close to the neighboring property; even if someone is just chatting there, you hear everything.

This lovingly designed accommodation is an oasis. Beautiful rooms and a rooftop terrace equipped with hammocks. The small courtyard is well shielded from the wind, and you can comfortably prepare and enjoy your meals from the fully equipped, clean communal kitchen. The beach is just a few minutes away, and you can hear the ocean in the property—absolutely recommended! The hosts are very warm and helpful. Every Monday and Wednesday dinner is served in the small restaurant. We enjoyed it, even though I was unfortunately ill at that time. The surf spots are a little further to walk, which is typical for all the accommodations there.

“I highly recommend this property.”

The place was spotless, and the solar backup was a lifesaver—Popoyo has regular outages every other day from 8 AM to 5 PM, plus random town blackouts. If you want a well‑kept spot with friendly hosts and reliable power and Wi‑Fi, this is the spot. Nothing to complain about.

“A super welcoming stay with great vibes, clean rooms, and some of the best food of our trip.”

We adored our time at Red Pepper. The rooms can get warm at night without AC, but everything was immaculate and the kitchen, hammock, and private veranda were fantastic. Be sure to try the noodle night on Wednesday; it was one of the best meals on our trip. Mark and his wife were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and we could even hire a board directly from the hostel, which made everything super convenient.
