What I liked most was the lounge. It was tidy, with three big sofas and a TV—perfect! Carla was also very pleasant, as if she’d known me forever, which made the stay enjoyable. The only downside was that because the house is old, it was a bit chilly.

“O casa museo o casa turística”

The accommodation sits in an excellent spot in the center of Hoyos del Espino, near all services and restaurants, and close to the Tormes river areas, Gredos camping, Puente del Duque, and the platform. The old town oven offers exceptional bread and products. Unfortunately, the condition, upkeep, and cleanliness of the house are not suitable for guests; the 18th‑century house needs to be adapted for tourism. The second‑floor floor is warped and poorly maintained, causing beds to tilt and creaking when walking on it. The house requires a deep cleaning, and a mattress support broke.

“Preciosa casa rural amplia y confortable.”

Casa del Abuelo is a very cozy and spacious place with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The rooms are large and comfortable and offer all the services; there’s also a generous garden at the entrance. The staff were very kind at all times and the communication was smooth. Thanks to Fernando and Carla for their friendliness.

Space, comfort, and cleanliness. The caretaker’s treatment felt like that of the owner. No complaints.

I stayed in a roomy, comfortable place with good facilities and easy access, and the single beds were very cozy, but the double bed was not very comfortable.
