The location is a tourist trap and does not match the photos at all. We ended up in a small house instead of a cabin, and it was VERY VERY DIRTY!!! I have never seen such a mess! The manager was absent, making it impossible to talk to her, and there was no professionalism. FLEE!!!

The site and concept are wonderful! Breakfast was very nice. We saw two new houses on stilts, but they didn’t have a view of the lake. The two smaller houses are right on the lake, while three houses are not on the lake’s grounds. We were surprised and somewhat disappointed: no electricity, no water (I only found that info a day before by email after a lot of searching on booking). The showers are a 15‑minute walk away. Disappointed that the lake isn’t a swimming lake! We had the family house with lake view, but it was no different from the small houses with lake view; interior photos are hard to find. We concluded they are similar to the other interior photos. They are just plain wooden houses without nice details. It’s hard: in the rain there’s no indoor space or furniture to eat. No dishes, no kitchen. I like it rustic, but having to use a pit toilet, not being able to wash, and having to pay for electricity in cafés when staying more than one night makes the price too high!

We had a great stay. It was back to basics with the toilet facilities, but it was an amazing experience and our 12‑ and 14‑year‑olds absolutely loved it. We swam in the lake, enjoyed the peace and quiet, and felt completely at one with nature. A simple breakfast was delivered each morning, which was a lovely touch. Be prepared with a flashlight and plenty of snacks. Two nights was the perfect amount of time for us. We also drove 15 minutes to a nearby lake for watersports and a lovely lunch out. The cost may seem a little expensive considering the facilities available, but I think you’re really paying for the unique location and overall experience. If you’re looking to switch off and enjoy nature, it’s well worth it. The only real downside was the price, which may feel a little high considering the basic facilities. That said, you’re paying for the unique location and overall experience rather than luxury amenities. As it’s a treehouse, there was a slight musty smell at times, but it wasn’t a major issue and didn’t affect our stay. Other than that, there was very little to dislike.

The highlight was the accommodation. The cleanliness was lacking.
