“2 notti a Gozo”

posizione ottima per visitare la città. Terrazza condivisa con vista sulla cittadella siamo arrivati un po' prima del previsto e con una breve attesa siamo stati accolti dall'host che ci ha concesso di lasciare le valige in camera anche se erano in corso le pulizie pulizia, anche se.(vedi sotto). la camera è stata rifatta ma non erano presenti rotoli di carta igienica: Richiesti all'host, si è premurata di portarceli al più presto una notte ha fatto un forte temporale con pioggia e ha piovuto nella camera. Ciò ha risvegliato un nido di blatte di 5 cm che sono uscite da una trave sul soffitto il buffet della colazione non è fresco e viene preparato alla mattina presto da una persona che poi non lo segue per la durata della colazione e quindi se terminano delle cose (come è accaduto) non ce ne sono per gli ospiti che si presentano più tardi Al check out abbiamo incontrato nuovamente l'host che ci ha chiesto come era stato il soggiorno, facendo la premessa che era meglio saperlo di persona piuttosto che con le recensioni negative (!) Seppur restii, con la dovuta delicatezza e tutta l'educazione del caso dato che eravamo un po' imbarazzati, abbiamo gentilmente fatto presente quanto sopra e con toni molto scortesi ci è stato fatto presente che: per strada ci sono tante blatte. (se avessi voluto dormire per strada non avrei pagato per soggiornare qui!!) per quanto concerne il buffet ci è stato detto chiaramente che la gente vuole solo vedere che c'è il buffet e quindi l'host è consapevole che la roba non sia fresca e quindi ripropone le cose del giorno prima finchè non hanno un cattivo odore!!!! ciò trasformando in certezze quelli che prima erano solo miei dubbi (a giudicare dalla vista del buffet). Infine ci ha detto che faceva questo mestiere da 20 anni (quantità non sempre = a qualità) e che non dovevamo permetterci di insegnarle come si faceva (magari di fronte potrebbe esserci chi lo fa da 30?) l'host era molto offesa ed irritata seppure noi abbiamo usato tutta la delicatezza del caso. Gentilmente abbiamo detto che sarebbe stato più educato prendere atto dei consigli.poi avrebbe potuto valutare da sè in coscienza se fossero stati veritieri e coerenti e decidere se correggere il tiro

“Disappointing stay in Victoria”

The location was perfect to explore Gozo. The old building is charming. The rooftop was perfect to watch the sunset. The bed was uncomfortable. You could hear everything from outside the accommodation. The old walls made everything dusty very quickly. There was a leak on the bedroom walls/windows, so it rained on us, waking us up. The host offered us another room with bunk beds and no toilet (nothing at all like the one we booked and paid for) and cleaned our room (there was a big puddle). But did not offer any other compensation

The spot is fantastic, right in the heart of Victoria, just steps from St. George’s Basilica. The room was well equipped and the terrace was magical, offering incredible city views. The host was incredibly kind and hospitable, giving detailed instructions and helpful support throughout our stay, and the homemade breakfast was a lovely bonus.

“Overall okay”

The location is fantastic and the place is very clean. The owner was very kind and helpful, trying hard to make sure everything was fine. The breakfast was basic but sufficient, though it was cold because it wasn’t freshly prepared. We had to carry luggage up at least one flight of stairs. Housekeeping should ensure that bedding and blankets are available and smell fresh; one spare blanket was awful and we prefer better mattresses.
