The place is absolutely gorgeous and the owner is very welcoming; breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Unfortunately, the beach wasn’t suitable for swimming, though it does give easy access to la playa de las Águilas.
The lodge is marvelous, a true oasis in Enriquillo, with a host who is very kind, professional, helpful, and welcoming, and they even offer a dinner service that is probably the only high‑level option nearby; the Enriquillo village itself isn’t great, but it’s a decent way to reach Playa de las Aquilas, there’s no air conditioning, though the strong wind does its part.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish; we were delighted with the hotel in every way—facilities, comfort, cleanliness, the quietness of the place, the sea view from the rooms, and especially the detailed, personalized attention from Mr. Wolfgang that made our stay very special; we left with beautiful memories and an experience I would definitely repeat, so I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed and hope to return soon. THANK YOU.
