We booked a 3‑night stay, but the hotel demanded full payment before handing over the keys even though that rule wasn’t in any policy. The receptionist left one of our passports on his desk while heading upstairs, which made us feel unsafe. When I asked to see the manager, the receptionist ignored me for about 20 minutes before finally handing me a business card; the manager texted back another 20 minutes later, repeating the same policy claim. He was also on his phone during check‑in. In the room we discovered a large cockroach. The hotel did agree to cancel our stay for free, but after all of this we chose not to stay.
