The property is beautiful, the suite is very comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean. It’s 15 minutes from Bendigo CBD, and because we had travelled by VLine from Melbourne we had to use Uber; the buses run only every hour to and from the property, even though the bus stop is beside it. Since we only had one night, a hotel closer to the CBD would have been a better fit for this occasion.

The building is beautiful and the rooms are very well maintained, comfortable and warm. The car park was a little awkward to get in and out of because one of the other guests had parked in a central spot, limiting access for others; some markings for car spots would help.

Simone welcomed us into her beautiful Estate, and from the moment we walked through the doors we were transported to another era of antiques, crystal, Wedgwood, and Chippendale. Brass beds, claw‑foot baths, lead lighting—the list goes on for a wonderful experience. I might suggest a sleeping mask if you like a dark room; the beautiful lead lighting above the door lets in any light from lights left on outside your door.

Lovely property, but no elevator is a major problem if you have heavy cases to take up the stairs. I agree the cost of an elevator would be prohibitive++.
