“Overpriced for what we received”
We booked four large rooms for our group of 18 family members because the Brazaville Resort website didn’t provide enough information, so we were hoping for a comfortable stay. At check‑in, we were handed rooms that differed from what we had booked; after an hour of negotiations, we managed to secure only three of the four rooms, and the fourth room was completely unlike the advertised photos and descriptions—outdated, worn, and poorly stocked, with broken fixtures everywhere. The other rooms were also unclean. The resort’s beach, affected by a recent typhoon, had not been cleaned and was littered with plastic and rubbish, and there were piles of garage debris and broken seating areas with exposed electrical wires. A wedding was happening on the property, so service was minimal. The owner was present but seemed unconcerned about the guests’ comfort and safety. We paid a premium for large, expensive rooms but received subpar accommodations, making the overall experience frustrating. We won’t return and will share our concerns with future visitors.
