The location was really good, close to two train lines if I remember correctly (there’s also another nearby station with three more lines). A few drugstores and an electronics shop are right outside the station exit. The room came with all the amenities you’d expect, even skincare products in the bathroom. A convenience store is just a few steps from the hotel, and there’s a lobby where you can relax. The staff were polite at check‑in, and check‑out was smooth. The only drawback is that, like most Japanese hotels, the space is a bit small, so watch out if you’re bringing large luggage. The room layout only allows one piece of luggage to be opened at a time on the floor, and the area can get a little rough at night because it’s near bars and izakayas.

The reception staff were very friendly and solved many issues quickly. The only complaint was that they only had a men’s spa.

The staff were very kind. The only issue was the external lighting around the property.

The spot is spot-on, just a stone's throw from Akasaka Mitsuke Station where the Ginza and Marunouchi Lines run, and there's a new gym popping up nearby, so the location checks all the boxes. The staff were on point, especially when I couldn't manage a proper checkout; they whisked my bags out of the room—since I was already packed—and kept them safe until I came back later. On the downside, the rooms were dusty, poorly maintained, and carried a moldy, soggy odor; the bed was far too soft. I used two rooms, one in the main building and one in the classic wing, and in comparison to the Residential just down the street, the Grand falls short.
