The location near Funchal’s city centre was quite suitable for one or two nights. The parking was difficult.

“Muy recomendable”

The accommodation was in a quiet neighbourhood, close to the centre, with easy parking. The room was spacious and well equipped. There was a lounge area for drinks and a kitchen. The bathroom was shared with three other rooms, but that wasn’t a problem. The check‑in clerk, Maria Angela, was very friendly and explained everything clearly. We were not allowed to drop off our luggage before check‑in time even though there was space and someone was cleaning.

“Nice stay in Funchal”

We stayed at this hostel and it was a very pleasant experience. The spot is great, just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre. The only drawback is that there’s no parking, but we still managed to snag a spot on a nearby side street. They have several room types; we chose a double‑bed room. The room came with a TV, wardrobe, desk and fan. The bed was quite comfortable, though the pillows weren’t that good. The room was spotless. The shared kitchen is large and clean. There are two shared bathrooms, each with a shower, but they lack windows so ventilation is poor. Our host, Mariangela, was very friendly and helpful, giving us plenty of recommendations for things to do and places to visit, which we really appreciated. All in all, it was a great stay and we’d gladly come back.
