“Хотели пожить в джунглях- пожили в джунглях.”
The location is excellent, tucked in the wild jungle that we drove through; the hotel is swallowed by the rainforest—just wow! The reception area is very pretty. There are two large pools. We use golf carts to move around the property, and they arrive at the room quickly after a phone call. It was convenient and fun to ride them. Breakfast was good. We booked for 2 nights, which is a perfect length of stay. We arrived two hours early and were checked in immediately. On the balcony of the room there is a jacuzzi bathtub supposedly with thermal water, but the water was cool, so it was a very mediocre experience and we couldn’t relax. I didn’t like the room we originally booked; the description on Booking doesn’t make clear how the rooms differ or what their features are, yet they do! We booked a mid‑price room type. The room was on the first floor, very dark, with a view of dense bushes (not jungles), giving the feeling we were in a basement. However, at reception we managed to swap to another building, on the second floor, with a view of the Valley of Seven Fairies for 400 yuan. By the way, even moving to the second floor of our original building, which had no view, cost 400 yuan, so we decided to move to the better building with a nicer view, and there it was very good and bright. It’s a shame that when booking you can’t tell which room, on which floor, in which building, and what view—this is very important for living in the jungle—and which exact view. Next, food was tough. We only had breakfasts. For lunch we went to a restaurant (not in the main building), and it felt like no one was working; we had to find someone to get a menu. We ordered two dishes and one drink: one dish was completely mixed up, and the drink was only brought when we were already eating and about to leave (luckily we had water with us), as if the staff had gone somewhere for the drink—very strange. For dinner there is only one Chinese restaurant. The menu is confusing, pictures often don’t match the real dish (for example, spaghetti with beef is shown, but they actually bring soup). It’s pricey, specific, and not very tasty. So, think about food; maybe it’s worth bringing something yourself. There are no shops or cafés outside the hotel—keep that in mind. The bathroom area was not liked. The sink area isn’t enclosed, so if someone is sleeping and someone else goes to wash, the water noise fills the whole room. The toilet and shower are separate negatives. They have no walls, just glass partitions that don’t reach the ceiling. Very uncomfortable, awful!
