The décor is stunning, the rooftop restaurant is lovely, the gym is good and the pool is a nice size, the gardens are charming, and breakfast is good. Rooms that face the mountain get very hot; the air‑conditioner only turns on after you use the room key, but it takes a really long time to cool down. There’s no safe in the room.

The view was pretty, but the place felt creepy and nothing looked like the photos; everything seemed staged, like the plastic flowers, and the mosquito problem was huge. We left early that night and didn't get a refund.

I loved everything at The View Chiang Dao, especially the rooms that had every convenience for a relaxing stay, and we brought the whole family, so having family rooms was a big plus.
