Chiang Mai D Hostel

I dropped my Honor tablet at the hostel and when I called the front desk, the staff insisted no one had found it, even though my Google account shows the device was still on and located at the hostel exactly when I called to ask them to check my dorm. I called back again and they repeated that nothing was found. I have screenshots of the call and the Google location; if the hostel wants to challenge this, they can reach out to me. The room was dimly lit, which made it easy to overlook items left in the locker.

This is a typical hostel in a great spot near Chiang Mai University. The night market, plenty of cafés, a temple, the Monk’s Trail, and forest are all nearby. The hostel itself is ordinary, a bit worn, but still suitable for a few days’ stay. The location, in my view, is excellent!

The bed was incredibly comfortable—never had such a bed in Thailand. The room temperature was just right and the view was nice. The location is superb, close to nature, cafés, and a food market. The property is very clean and well maintained.

The place was very clean, quiet, and cozy. The owners were friendly and provided us with information for a late check‑in, plus a bracelet when we left <3. The mattress was a little too soft.

The location is near CMU and Monk’s Trail, a golden spot for hiking and running.
