After spending a lot of time researching before the trip, I finally found a place that matched my expectations, but many other options turned out to be disappointing. Among all the places I've stayed, Laon on 37 was the most comfortable, cozy, and clean—like a home, and I felt it was a real gem. The high ceilings and large windows let me lie down and watch white clouds and the blue sky, and in the morning I could see birds flying overhead. The owners were extremely friendly and clearly loved maintaining the property. It sits in a pretty, small harbor town and is close to Tongyeong's main attractions, which was great. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a stay in Tongyeong; I won't hesitate to choose it again. During my 4‑night, 5‑day trip, every place I visited was crowded with Chinese tourists, but this one was completely private and peaceful. When checking out, they brewed a delicious coffee and waved at me like a close relative. Laon on 37 is clean, friendly, and I strongly recommend it.

“Stylish Accommodation with great service from owners. Harbour views opposite. Taxi or bus to centre”

Owners are so lovely and helpful. Location opp harbour is peaceful and attractive. Architecturally designed building is a standout from all other accommodations in Tongyeong. Stylish, modern rooms. Hospitality from owners with coffee downstairs in little cafe everyday is lovely. We can't speak Korean, but we communicated via App so well. Taxi ride to reach harbourside location is inexpensive and worth it rather than stay in town. Buses pass by very regularly too. Lovely outlook. Nearby Stanford Resort has a great walk over the hill to a beach. Close uphill walk in other direction to reach Cable Car. Easy. Plenty of eating places nearby - great fresh seafood. Would definitely recommend this boutique style accommodation. We loved everything. If you're looking to stay close to town, then this location is a little far. Some buildings around the area are a little dated and needing repair, but Laon on 37 id definitely a standout modern building
