The staff member Kenny was lovely and made us feel so welcome, and he cooked a nice breakfast for us. However, the rooms were very dirty; I found leftover tea in my cup with mould growing on top. The place is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays, but that isn’t told before you pay, so only people on site can stay. There was no food available until Friday or Saturday, and we weren’t informed about that until we got there. We stayed on Wednesday night so the pub was open, but the atmosphere was flat as a pancake and the barmaid didn’t smile much; I felt she might punch me in the face when I asked for a drink. Kenny was our saviour, but I would never recommend this to anybody else.

Kenny was ace and did a great breakfast, but the rooms were dirty, there was no food available, and the bar staff were miserable.

The service was genuine, friendly and very caring, helping us with travel arrangements and catering for all our needs. Special shout out to Kenny for his flexibility and amazing breakfast.

Located in the heart of the village opposite the loveliest bakery, the room was very spacious and stayed fairly cool in the heat, although there was a powerful fan in the room if needed. The pub itself was closed on Monday and Tuesday.
