We enjoyed a lovely stay at Blakeys' Home; the countryside setting is idyllic, the rooms are well equipped with a Thai‑style shower area, and the hosts are extremely friendly, making you feel welcomed right away. A big plus is that you can dine and have breakfast on site. One small suggestion for the rooms: the curtains let in almost unfiltered light from the exterior lighting at night; proper blackout curtains would be great, or simply turning off the lamps outside the room after dark. Also, a bit of background music during dinner would have enhanced the atmosphere.

Jim made me feel very welcome, his lovely wife cooked a delicious bolognaise for dinner, served a hearty breakfast, and even packed me a lunch.
