The ocean view and the pool were fantastic, but the air‑conditioning never kicked in and the ceiling fan was annoyingly loud.

The house itself is gorgeous, though you really need a 4×4 because the roads are steep and slippery. We showed up with some alfajores as a gift, yet weren’t even offered coffee in the morning. The host blasted German rock music until 11 p.m., making it hard to wind down, and her stuff was strewn around the living room, which felt pretty unwelcoming. The pool area looked neglected – cleaning gear, laundry, cushions piled up, and her swimsuit and towels left out.

Felt really at home here – the house is dreamy, the room, kitchen and terrace with the pool were all great and we could use everything.
