We loved staying at Umbral Habitación Rústica; the self‑check‑in was straightforward and everything felt organized from the moment we arrived. The room was immaculate, cozy, and very quiet. What really set Umbral apart was its character—rustic décor and thoughtful touches made it feel like a small private retreat rather than a standard hotel or rental. Even though it’s close to everything in Tepoztlán, inside it’s calm and away from the noise. The host was a real highlight: helpful, responsive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive. We’ll definitely come back and would suggest Umbral to anyone seeking a quiet, comfortable, and unique place in Tepoztlán that feels more personal than a typical hotel.

I really liked the place, very comfortable and well‑located. I mentioned that if possible they could leave a printed message as a surprise for my partner, and they did it at no extra cost. I thought it was a bit expensive that they charge $50 per hour to leave luggage after check‑out on the same day the stay ended.

“Uno de los mejores hoteles en San Cristóbal”

It’s a lovely hotel; I liked the décor, the rooms, the common area, the location, the cleaning staff (very, very friendly), the vibe, the hotel’s silence, the rest—everything! It’s less than a block from everything that might interest in San Cristóbal; two houses away you can find delicious and pretty restaurants, and at the corner of the street you’ll find a café with very, very tasty bread and coffee. Everything is very, very close. It’s safe and the rest was pleasant. I would definitely return. Everything was great!
