The refuge is a wooden shack with several mattresses and a bathroom, clean but a bit cramped. Sheets and towels are rented, and unlike other refuges it offers no blanket. Breakfast is decent but pricey for what’s provided, so the value for both accommodation and breakfast isn’t great, yet it’s the only place to stay overnight in Montblanquet if you need to.

The spot is gorgeous and totally worth biking to after a long ride; an extra blanket at night in late November was a nice touch.

The Refugi Marilluna sits right behind the church and offers a 6‑bed dormitory for walkers on La Ruta del Cister; it’s very clean and suitable for a one‑night stay. Bed linen and towels cost extra, and both dinner and breakfast are provided because the village of Montblanquet has no restaurant or bar. The host was extremely helpful, replying quickly to all questions and personal requests. The bed was comfortable and everything was tidy.
