The staff were friendly and helpful, everyone smiled and took care of us. Breakfast was good, the AC worked very well, the TV was fine, and hot water was available. The hostel layout was nice, easy to get to, and mostly filled with 25‑30‑year‑old travelers. It’s not perfect, but for the price it’s great. The bathroom water never drains, the floor stays wet, and there’s a lingering water smell. The flush is slow to refill, the room has a general damp odor, and there are a lot of small ants on the walls.

This seems to be a common problem with many accommodations. They take photos when everything is new and clean, but they don't keep the place in the same condition or update the photos. Properties should update their photos annually so guests see what the property really is, not how it looked years ago. The rooms are probably cleaned every day, but the property is not maintained properly over time. Either keep the place looking like the photos or update them so guests know what to expect. The walls and floors are stained, and the bathroom doesn't look clean. You can even see stains on the mattress through the bed sheet. The air conditioning is extremely noisy, and there are other strange noises coming from the ceiling. There is an open gap running across the ceiling that could easily be covered with a false ceiling. Instead, it makes you feel like something could come out of it at any moment. Overall, it's not a place where you feel comfortable.

It is actually a nice and very clean hostel in Uluwatu. The beds are comfortable, you have your own locker in your space to store your stuff as well as extra space for your luggage. The room was always clean and has air conditioning. The bathrooms were fine, including the showers, and in the showers you find shampoo and body soap, which is good. Also, in the bathrooms that were for my hostel room, there were options for toothbrush and toothpaste in case you didn't have them. There is a very basic kitchen but it is adequate if you want to cook for yourself. Although there are not many common areas or “social” areas, I think the hostel is fine. Additionally, there is a water dispenser for drinking water, which is very good. The place also rents scooters if you want to drive. The internet works well throughout the area. The street for entry is very dark at night, but that is a personal opinion.

The hotel is a great value and the staff are exceptionally friendly. The hostel is quite spacious, the beds aren’t stuffed like in other hostels, the bed itself is comfortable, and everything was clean. I have absolutely no complaints. I’d recommend this hostel to anyone. The location is perfect for exploring Uluwatua.
