After paying for the reservation two months in advance, they pulled the plug the night before I was due to check in, leaving me stranded. When I finally got to the property, the manager told me the room was a private rental and the hotel had nothing to do with my booking, then forced me to either find another place or cough up a thousand reais for a new room. The whole experience felt humiliating and the staff offered no help.

I thought I was booking a reputable hotel, but turned out I’d signed up with a private owner who didn’t even know my name when I arrived – that was a nasty shock. The owner gave wrong information, lied about the facilities, and made my stay extremely uncomfortable. I’d rather use a platform that clearly separates private rentals from hotels; this one was a mess.

The location is spot‑on, right where you want to be, but it wasn’t clear that the flat was run by an outside operator. There was obvious tension between the flat’s management and the hotel, which made the check‑in a mess and left the reservation unready. To top it off, room service was subpar.

Getting in touch with the host was a nightmare – the phone number they gave was wrong, and messages went unanswered. It made the check‑in a bit stressful.
