An inner courtyard view greets guests in this Double Room, which sleeps two. Features include a private entrance, a double bed with linen, a desk with a nearby socket, ironing facilities and an iron, a laptop safe and a safety deposit box, a clothes rack, a mosquito net, a tea/coffee maker with electric kettle, and a minibar. A private bathroom provides a shower, toilet, hairdryer, towels and toilet paper; the room is air‑conditioned, sound‑proofed, heated, offers free Wi‑Fi, a flat‑screen satellite TV and a telephone, and upper floors are reachable only by stairs.

The location, layout, cleanliness, and breakfast were all great, but the fact that there is no own parking is a downside.

A very nice place right in the town centre, great food at the restaurant, and a warm, welcoming staff. The downside is that there are only a few parking spots behind the hotel, shared with the nearby block’s parking.

Hotel Plai in Chișinău, Moldova, is a beautiful building in a great location, and the food is really good! Unfortunately, the staff was a huge disappointment. When we arrived around 21:45 and checked in around 22:00, we were told the restaurant was closed or that we had to leave, even though it was supposed to stay open until 23:00. We were the only guests outside. The staff spoke neither Romanian nor English, only Russian, making ordering very difficult. When paying, the waiter was insulted because we didn’t leave a tip. The bill was in Russian. That was so bad that we were ignored for the next two days. We also skipped the hotel breakfast. It’s extremely uncomfortable to be turned away from the hotel just because you didn’t tip. The service was poor – it was bad. Despite the beautiful building, I won’t book there again.
Everything was super, as always – comfortable, a nice spot, parking, and excellent staff. I arrived and felt right at home.
