This guest house is fantastic and authentic, run by two of the most helpful owners you’ll meet. We’ve taken many trips this year and this is one of the best stops we’ve made. Ignore the two‑star rating; the private rooms feel like five stars. Nothing to complain about.

It’s a cozy place. I liked the common area, the communal kitchen, and the traditional Japanese style of the house. The staff are very friendly. The town is nice, and from there you can do good day trips. The rooms were a bit cold because it’s an old building, but each room had a heater that could be turned on at any time.
