The staff seemed to care only about the pub, and the breakfast was awful.

The room was clean and comfortable, but there was no hair dryer, the breakfast options were limited and overpriced—dry toast with everything, no margarine or butter, no cereals—and the staff appeared uninterested; the bar closed right after we arrived at 7.15pm, leaving no food available that evening.
