“Worst experience of my vacation.”
Nothing, because I didn’t get to experience anything. I drove all the way from Phalaborwa and arrived around 18:00, only to be told the room I’d booked months earlier wasn’t available, but they did manage to book me at another guest house (Queensrest). That was another hassle, because the reception wasn’t even aware of our arrival. The owner was very apologetic and refunded the breakfast amount since it wasn’t offered at Queensrest. I would have appreciated this being communicated beforehand. A message was sent via bookings.com the morning of my arrival and I didn’t see it because I was driving to the accommodation; apparently they tried to call me all week but couldn’t reach me, and I never received any other communication besides the bookings.com one. That’s my experience.
