The gardens are stunning and the honesty bar tucked in the garden is a real treat. However, the driveway is very tight—watch out for low‑profile cars—and the stair treads leading to our room are narrow, so proceed with caution.

We would have loved to stay longer because the chateau is simply dreamy—a perfect spot to unwind. The hostess went above and beyond, the pool is one of a kind, and the chateau itself is unforgettable.

Veronique was a fantastic host and the property offered a charming countryside retreat. We stayed in the larger unit that included a kitchen; it was very cozy and cute, and it sat right next to the hot tub. The drive to Amboise was quick. When leaving the property, make sure to turn left—following Google Maps and turning right leads onto a dangerous steep road not meant for cars.

Being close to Ambroise and enjoying the peaceful setting, plus an excellent breakfast, were highlights. However, the facilities did not meet expectations.
