“Lovely stay, peaceful location but lodged nicely spaced so felt ok to chat as we were a large grp.”

The place was well designed and had everything we needed. It could use a better screen off on the side of the hot tub, and Wi‑Fi costs extra.

The accommodation was very nice and clean. The only drawback was that there was no Wi‑Fi, so we had to pay for it each day of our stay; the rural location meant phone signal was weak, so we needed the Wi‑Fi, but on the flip side I didn’t use my phone much.

“Overall okay but not brilliant”

The lodge was absolutely stunning, with plenty of storage and space, and the layout was great. The problem was that there were no blinds, just main curtains, so everyone could see in and there was no privacy. The oven and hot tub stopped working, so we had to pay for takeout, which was frustrating because we liked cooking our own food. We called the number in the booklet and left a message, but nobody ever got back to us. The next morning a man walking a dog told us to check the fuses, which we eventually found in the wardrobe behind our case and it had tripped. It was quite annoying to pay for a service we couldn’t use, and we couldn’t use the hot tub that night, which was upsetting because it was meant to be a birthday treat for my daughter. Reception should respond to messages. Also the two single beds are proper toe‑bangers; the legs stick out but are hidden by the sheet and are metal, so the banged legs and feet are a problem.

Everything! The only downside was that Wi‑Fi had to be paid for.

The location was lovely and peaceful with all the wildlife. We walked into the little town of Woodhall Spa, which was delightful, and the buses went to Lincoln and Boston, so we didn’t have to use our car. The only suggestion is that a bigger shop on site would be nice.
