The family was wonderfully charming. Thanks to the English‑speaking daughter Valentina, we learned a lot about Sardinia from Raffaele. The apartment itself was practical, and the breakfast was sweet Italian fare with homemade pastries and cakes that were delicious. The only downside was that I’m not a fan of plastic plates.

The location was great, just outside Alghero and surrounded by nature (a 12‑minute walk to the center). It was quiet and clean, with a homemade breakfast that was excellent and varied. Raffaele was a very kind and super helpful host who gave us restaurant recommendations and tips for the beaches. Unfortunately, we missed an outdoor space because we were in one of the first‑floor apartments. The room was a bit small, especially the shower. I’d suggest adding a shelf in the shower to hold soaps, since it’s very small and it’s inconvenient to keep soaps on the floor.
