The hotel boasts a restaurant with river views, a bar, on-site gym, sauna, and bicycle rentals, with a bus stop 100 metres away and Slottsparken Park 2 km away.

The breakfast was great, the staff kept it well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, only the room felt a bit Spartan; otherwise everything was fine. The sauna was a little small and when kids were in the whirlpool it got very loud; the large area could be better used, it’s a pity there’s no swimming pool, and bathrobes in the room would be handy.

The breakfast was fantastic, the location by the water was nice, and the nearby transport links were good.

The first night was overbooked, which became apparent after checking in around 10 a.m. following a long city day and then again around 21:00 that evening, despite having booked well in advance. Markus at the reception was friendly and arranged a stay at another hotel for that night, and the second night at the Waterfront Hotel came with excellent service. However, even with a long‑term reservation, the Waterfront Hotel was also overbooked.

The location is great, with a paid parking spot, and public transport links to the city center are very convenient.

The breakfast was nice and varied, the view over the entrance to Gothenburg was amazing, and there was plenty of space. We couldn’t book separate rooms, but that was probably just an issue with the booking app, so it wasn’t really the hotel’s fault.
