Everything was very clean, though breakfast could use improvement—maybe add scrambled eggs and bacon, pancakes or bacon, and coffee in the breakfast room.

Breakfast was okay, but it would have been nicer if hot food were available. The rooms needed some fixes; the bathroom door wouldn’t lock.

It was a little noisy, mainly from the hallway and upstairs.

I really liked the room, especially how clean and tidy the bathroom was. I didn’t enjoy the first floor much because it was a bit noisy from above; next time I’ll choose a higher floor.

“Spark by Hilton disappointing.”

The coat hooks on the walls were a nice touch, but when I checked in, the staff told me the credit card I used to book the room had been declined, so I had to pay at the desk. They claimed it was a Sapphire Reserve card that got declined, yet swiping the same card at the desk worked. Later, when I checked my online statement, I saw the original charge for the room had already been taken, meaning I had double‑charged. It took three conversations with the front desk to get one of the charges refunded, though I eventually received the credit. The room smelled chemical‑like—not bleach or cleaning, but something else—and the odor stuck to my clothes and CPAP machine. The room looked a bit worn: paint was chipped and there were wall scrapes, which I assumed were normal wear and tear. A noticeable water/corrosion stain was in the bathtub/shower. Breakfast had changed too; they no longer serve hot items like eggs, sausage, bacon, or waffles. Coffee is now in the reception area instead of the breakfast zone. The spread is limited to mini muffins, a bagel, toast (only a single four‑slice toaster, so lines form), cereal, fruit (no bananas), yogurt, and juice made from concentrate mixed with chlorinated water. The change feels worse since the property became Spark by Hilton. I visit Lake George three times a year and have always stayed here, but this is my first trip after the rebranding, and I won’t return.
