The room is very simple, but functional and clean. The best part of the place is the owner. He offers half‑day and full‑day tours to Khao Yai National Park. You ride on benches on the covered deck of a pickup, so you stay dry even when it rains. The pickup’s height also gives a good view. Mr. Nong is thrilled to show guests the park’s rich wildlife and shows great ambition, as does his son. He stays in touch with other guides by phone, which increases the chance of seeing elephants. We saw gibbons, gaurs, rhinoceros birds, deer, porcupines, a small snake and even elephants. Unlike almost all other guides, Mr. Nong has a camera with a telephoto lens, so he can photograph distant animals without trouble. He later sends the photos in batches via WhatsApp. On top of that, Mr. Nong speaks fluent English, making communication perfect. I highly recommend him.
