Hotel Zur Luppbode

The location was great, not far from the hiking area, and the breakfast was really tasty ☺️ There was something for everyone. The staff are super nice and friendly to guests. I met a very friendly host. Not far from there, you can find nice places to eat in town. Unfortunately, the heating also broke during that time and in the early morning we had ice‑cold water.

A lovely hotel. We had a large, cozy room with a bed, a couch, and nice wooden beams. There was a kettle so we could make tea or coffee, which we thought was great… It was very clean. Some things might not be brand new, but that’s how the hotel is. Everything inside was tidy and well maintained. A very nice gentleman welcomed us and explained everything quickly, while also serving at the restaurant. We ate there and it was excellent—large portions and plenty of fresh ingredients. We’ll definitely come back for dinner if we’re in the Harz again. Breakfast was simply wow… made with love, everything fresh. Delicious strawberry jam! The scrambled eggs were cooked to order by the friendly breakfast lady. Highly recommended! A beautiful old hotel revived with love. Great location for hiking. Thanks to the truly kind staff who make sure everything runs smoothly.

The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was good, and when I complained about a leaking toilet the issue was fixed right away. The only drawback was that I didn’t know Monday and Tuesday were days off. I would have liked to get to know the hotel better (e.g., dinner options). Also, don’t rent out a room if the toilet is damaged.
