The sense of place was striking, the historic building beautiful, the furnishings comfortable and the service excellent, but the electrical sockets were positioned too far away for the kettle.

What a gem! It’s tucked away but still easy to reach from the Castle. The welcome was lovely and the old‑fashioned courtesy was appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble, and the service was first class—we loved it. The only complaint I had was about the pillows.
