The guesthouse is beautiful, newly renovated, and lovingly maintained. The rooms are large, very clean, and cozy, and there’s a veranda where breakfast is served—soup! It was perfect for me. I felt very comfortable and the location is wonderful. I found it odd that I couldn’t pay by card even though it was advertised, so I had to cancel the reservation right in front of the owner. I was charged a higher price supposedly for an upgrade, but that was wrong because I had booked that room. I didn’t think that was right, but due to the language barrier and our exhaustion after a long drive from Luang Prabang, I just went along with it. It’s the first time something like this has happened to me.

The mountain view and calm were great. The balcony lets you have breakfast in front of the room. The room is beautiful, well decorated, and very clean. There’s a kettle with tea and coffee in the room. I’ll definitely return.

I stayed in room 8 at the modern, clean guesthouse with a lovely mountain view. The scenery is beautiful, but compared to other riverside guesthouses in Nong Khiaw that combine river and mountains, it feels less spectacular. The location near the bus station is convenient for arrivals and departures, yet the national road right in front creates noise. The real issue is the price: my neighbors paid almost half for a comparable room, and the supposed upgrade from the ground floor to the upper floor was barely noticeable, definitely not worth the extra cost. Nong Khiaw has many riverside guesthouses offering similar comfort for much less. Always check the rate on site before booking online—the difference can be huge.
