The staff were exceptional, and with only 8 cottages, most of the time you feel like you’re on your own. It’s fantastic.

The resort looked beautiful and was very comfortable for our group of 10 adults; the staff were great and the food was very good, with our chef and bartender working tirelessly. If you have picky eaters, be sure to talk to the chef.

The nature around the resort is beautiful and unique. The location in the untouched landscape provides a lot of peace and relaxation. We especially appreciated the small size of the resort, with only 8 bungalows tucked into a palm grove yet still on the beach, so we encountered only a few people and the beaches were often empty. There are no paved roads, no traffic, and the main paths are sand, so walking barefoot is a pleasure. Simply wonderful. During a week‑long stay the food was very monotonous, usually only two to three fish varieties that repeated often. The dessert selection was especially disappointing: little variety and sometimes not available at all. The mangrove trees or rotting leaves emitted a strong odor after dusk, which sometimes even affected the taste. In the second room the toilet and shower were open to nature, giving a “Scout” feel with more comfort, but it had clear disadvantages: we were heavily exposed to mosquitoes. Especially at night the toilet area smelled strongly of rotting mangrove leaves, which was very unpleasant.

It’s a unique spot, an island full of life and beauty. The staff were all friendly and professional. Depending on the season, there might not be many people around. It’s intense; everywhere you look there’s something moving— insects, spiders, snakes, monkeys, birds, etc. It’s a beautiful place, but it reminds us that we can’t survive in the jungle. Everything was fine overall, but they could have paid a bit more attention to the facilities; it was a minor oversight.
