The staff were very efficient, Welcoming & Friendly. They showed to your room & explained everything. The meal we had in the bar was lovely, The location was convieniate with a co op right nxt door in case of any last minute needs. Parking was great & the whole building is lovely and historic. We just had inconvienience of some road works causing a detour on the way and a delay on leaving but absolutely nothing to do with the property

The property has a period feeling. Staff were friendly. Easy to locate. Tbh all was good. But We had a problem with one of the radiators. Despite putting turning the knob to zero it was super hot and room was very hot. We had open windows to sleep

Comfortable room, excellent facilities. Pub food good and breakfast lovely. Wish there had been tea/coffee making facilities in the room but was plenty available on the landing. Would have liked a bath too, but shower was good

Staff attentive and friendly and room generally clean. The room and lounge was damp and cold. Understand the weather at the moment is unseasonably mild but dampness is a problem as wet towels would not dry and because of the age of the building and location of room - no sunlight, everything felt cold and damp. Have stayed here in summer and not an issue then!
