“Was good as I was on my own for a quick stop but no where near the level at which they are charging for a room”

The location was great, but the place wasn’t clean enough: the bathroom was dirty, there were hairs on the carpet, and the tea, coffee, and biscuits had been replaced.

“The place is ideal for a quiet and relaxing break! But bring everything you need with you.”

We stayed at a cottage; all cottages are separate from the hotel and have all the amenities needed. They’re spacious, private, and comfortable, and they’re closer to the lake. The spot is beautiful, very quiet, and surrounded by nature. The property is well kept. The hotel seemed understaffed. We tried to grab lunch and a drink at the hotel restaurant but couldn’t even access the hotel; it was closed and locked, no one was around, and there was no service at the restaurant during lunch. The place is very remote and hard to reach without a car. There’s no public transport, and when we asked before arrival about options, the staff was unhelpful. We had to contact the only taxi available in Killin—the closest place with public transport—and it cost £32 to go from Killin to the hotel and another £32 to return.

“I will visit again :)”

The room was roomy and the food was top‑class, with a calm atmosphere overall. The only hiccup was that no towels were in the room when we arrived, but the staff fixed it right away.

The location was fantastic, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant and breakfast were excellent.
