“Perfect stay”
The location is beautiful and ideal for a Shrewsbury visit, the pub is lovely, and the breakfast (which we paid extra for) was amazing and worth it; I’d definitely recommend it.

I had a good overnight stop here: the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Amanda O.; the pub food was good but a bit pricey, and the setting was lovely with a comfortable restaurant area and off‑street parking; the room earned only 3 stars for me because, although it had an ensuite and tea/coffee facilities, I didn’t like the lack of windows and airflow—there was only glass in the door with an obscure fenestation, though others might not mind; a short walk before breakfast took us to the church and its farm, and breakfast was flexible with cooked options, yoghurt, and toast.

The staff were friendly and the welcome warm, the room was lovely and the food great, parking was easy, and the venue is good for walking; however, the restaurant could have been a bit cozier, and the mocktail came in a tumbler so I had to ask for a nicer glass.

The building is nice and the staff super friendly with a great breakfast, but sleeping in the stables was overwhelming and I wouldn’t do it again.

Amanda checked us in and was friendly at breakfast too; our room was okay and comfortable, and the breakfast was superb, but we couldn’t get the room radiator or bathroom towel rail to heat up (apparently there were plumbing issues), and the shower water was lukewarm, likely related to the heating problem.
