It was clean and each bedroom had an ensuite. The name “lodge” suggests luxury and character, but it’s just a holiday house with little warmth, no view, and no laundry facility.

Overall it was acceptable, the cleanliness was passable, and the distance to the Good Shepherd Church is a bit far if you want to walk there at night to see the stars. I booked a full five‑bedroom house, but when we arrived only two bedrooms were ready. After calling the host, they opened four rooms and locked one because we were only eight people. This was never mentioned in the booking, and the listing even loudly states you can fully own the five‑bedroom apartment. It’s a bad impression for future guests who think they’ll get all rooms. The host also didn’t provide any laundry equipment, claiming we were only staying one day, so none was available.

“Somewhat disappointing”

The location was good and quiet. One of the beds was so uncomfortable that a party member had to sleep on the floor. The property was advertised as five bedrooms, so I expected all to be available; our uncomfortable person could have moved to another bed if that had been the case. There was no view from the living areas and it was very dark inside. An incessant beeping that we couldn’t locate kept us up while cooking. One bathroom had no spare toilet paper.
