“Nous recommandons ce lieu”
The breakfast was very good, paired with a delicious local natural grape juice, and the view was exceptional.
“Séjour exceptionnel au D’Origem !”
The view of the Douro is exceptional, the complimentary bottle of wine at arrival and the olive oil museum tour were also very appreciated. The bad smells in the bathroom were a downside.
The setting is gorgeous, the place is quiet, the room is comfortable, and the view overlooking Pinhao is fantastic.

What a gorgeous Quinta with sunshine, two rooms right above Pinhão in the heart of the Douro, so it’s close to the village yet offers spectacular views! The room was very beautiful and modern, with a huge, stunning balcony. The whole estate is meticulously maintained, surrounded by lovely vineyards and olive groves. The services were first‑rate, from wine tasting to oil tasting and the explanation of the oil‑making process. Breakfast was included in the price even though it wasn’t explicitly mentioned on the booking site, and it was genuinely good, varied and homemade. The atmosphere was peaceful and full of nature, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. If I lived in Portugal I’d go back many times – highly recommended! By the way, the welcome included a complimentary bottle of their own rosé wine. The only tip: to reach Pinhão take the longer road that comes from “behind”.
